October 17—Manufacturer’s Appreciation Luncheon—11:30AM—1PM—St. James Hotel

The Red Wing Area Manufacturer’s Association and the Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce want to celebrate and recognize our local area manufacturers and the important contributions they make to our community! All manufacturers and businesses that support them are invited to attend the Red Wing Area Manufacturer’s Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, October 17, 11:30AM – 1:00PM at the St. James Hotel, 5th Floor Summit. The event starts with updates from Travis Thul, Dean of Trade & Technology at Minnesota State College Southeast and Katie Rausch, the new STEAM Team Advisor at the Red Wing High School. Keynote Speaker is Tom Emmer, U.S. House of Representatives Tom represents Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District and serves on the House Financial Services Committee. Congressman Emmer will gear his speech towards the state of manufacturing as a whole, its importance to the future of our country (MN in particular), the skills gap the industry is facing and how we need to address that. During the celebration, the Governor’s Certificate Of Commendation will be presented to all manufacturers in attendance at the luncheon on October 17. Reservations are required TODAY by calling the Chamber office at 651-388-4719. Cost for the luncheon is $10. The Red Wing Area Chamber supplements the cost of this event.

October 18—9th Annual Red Wing Chamber Business Expo—4PM—6:30 PM—St. James Hotel—5th Floor

This is your chance to see what the Red Wing business community has to offer! Many of our local manufacturers will be exhibiting. This event is co-sponsored by Coordinated Business Systems, the Republican Eagle, the St. James Hotel, QMedia Group–KWNG KCUE KLCH WBHA and the Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce.Business After Hours will be running concurrently during the Business Expo, providing food and beverages hosted by the St. James Hotel. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Public Tours—October 19 through Friday, October 21

Public Tours will be offered at a variety of manufacturing facilities.
Tour Guidelines

  • People must register through the Chamber Office by calling 651-388-4719 or to attend, prior to all tours.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time, to allow for check in at locations. Tours will begin on time!
  • All tours are limited to a maximum of 25 people.
  • Tours are FREE and open to the public.
  • Tours are one hour in length.
  • Closed toe shoes (no high heels) must be worn on all tours.
  • No cell phones and/or pictures or videos are allowed during the tours.
  • Photo ids may be required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You can go on as many tours as your schedule allows.

This is a rare opportunity to see what is behind the scenes and the high level technology that goes into taking care of our patients.
